You know our powder room in the hallway? It has turned out perfectly, with glossy TileBar tile and the alligator juniper vanity Sexy Nerd built himself. Little by little, accessories are added and edited out. Currently, the bathroom has a cheerful, springtime vibe.
Still, something is missing.
Since moving in, I've taped at least 30 wallpaper samples on the wall behind the mirror. It's such a tough decision! What looks perfect in November (so warm and cozy) is all wrong in February (so heavy and dark).
If I ever win the lottery, I'm going to pay someone to redo my wallpapers with the seasons. Also, for this to happen, I'll probably need to start playing the lottery.

Our decorating style is rustic...farmhouse...glam...? Eclectic!

Fun Powder Room Wallpaper
This wallpaper from wallpaperdirect.com, called Tian, was love at first sight. It's textured and looks like it is illuminated from behind. However, Sexy Nerd hates it.
(Clockwise from upper left: Denali, Topiary, Punica, Volta)
Each of these wallpaper options has been considered. I always change my mind before placing an order though. All except the Topiary have metallic accents.
This is my current bathroom wallpaper obsession. It coordinates with the blue of the vessel sink. It's called Pamir Garden and my wallpaper-hating husband actually likes it. The pattern is whimsical yet sophisticated.
What do you think, my bloggy friends? Can you picture Pamir Garden on this wall? (And when you picture it, does it make you smile or cringe?)
My dalmation art was a yard sale score and the hand towel with oranges (actually a kitchen towel) is from Cost Plus World Market.
My little stone bunny with faux succulents was a bargain from Cost Plus World Market and the soap dish is not a soap dish at all. Surprise! It's a garlic grater from Uncommon Goods.
We went "high/low" with our shower - Lancaster Celery Tile from TileBar used as an accent with inexpensive travertine subway tiles from Lowes. Honestly, it's the most beautiful shower I've ever seen.
I suppose we could always just leave this powder room as-is. It's nice even without wallpaper...but where's the fun in that?
