Lavender in the Village
New Mexicans dress to impress.
Established in 1994, Lavender in the Village is a lavender-focused event held in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, NM every July. It's the largest Lavender Festival in the Southwestern USA and is fun for lavender-enthusiasts and lavender-newbies alike.
The mission of the Lavender in the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque is to preserve and enhance Los Ranchos public open space, stimulate an interest in sustainable agriculture, with an emphasis on educating the public, including such matters as historic agriculture, lavender and its uses, and fostering community spirit.

I like Lavender in the Village, but might like Llama in the Village even more. These friendly fellows are from Llamas del Sol. How do I know they're friendly? No spitting.
Reviewing these Lavender in the Village photos, it took me a moment to realize that's the dog's tail.
Boutique Event: Sweet Bites & Brews pairing at Steel Bender Brewyard
While looking through the following photos, I complained to Sexy Nerd that everyone always looks so cool while I look like a big dorky dork.
"No you don't," he said. So sweet, that husband of mine.
JUST KIDDING. He said he loves me anyway.
