If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to visit Magnolia Market in Waco, TX, get ready to live vicariously through photos. (Through food too - how handy that their recipes are shared online.) Sexy Nerd and I made our way there for a cozy fall getaway. Though the insane wind had my hair impersonating our chihuahua, Puff, it was totally worth it.
Does Sexy Nerd look nervous? He just brought me to a world of home improvement ideas. Time to get your Chip Gaines on, Sexy Nerd. Where's your power drill?
From the charming, retro plant shop, where plants have names like Dorothy, to the cutest old church they salvaged and rebuilt, every corner of Magnolia Market is a perfect blend of charm, whimsy, and design inspiration.
Fall Feels at the Silos
Magnolia Market is the autumn getaway everyone dreams of. With the Silos towering above, we wandered through displays that seemed to blend effortlessly with the season—think warm lighting, dried floral arrangements, and a bit of that famous farmhouse flair. It’s the kind of place where you want to bundle up in a cozy scarf and take a slow stroll with coffee in hand, just letting the fall magic sink in.
I wore sandals. Had this blog post existed prior to my trip, I perhaps would not have been so pale and chilly in the below photos. Learn from my mistake.
If I name my plants, will they live longer?
Cozy Coffee and Design Dreams at Magnolia Press
We warmed up inside Magnolia Press for a latte and a serious dose of design inspiration. With its warm wood and soft lighting, this cozy coffee shop is packed with rustic charm. Poor Sexy Nerd because my home decorating aspirations were now highly caffeinated. We need to all the farmhouse things, my love!
Don't limit yourself to only coffee. This fruit-forward iced tea was scrumptious!
We *need* a brick arch over our bedroom wall. Also, see how lumpy this bed looks? Attention Chip and Joanna Gaines: You need to incorporate Amerisleep Mattresses at the Magnolia Market!
Another also, hello to Chip and Joanna Gaines! You two totally follow this blog, right?
A Church, a Bakery, and So Much Charm
The old church they salvaged and rebuilt at the market was adorable. It felt like something straight out of a fairytale, and I may or may not have gotten a bit carried away imagining it in our backyard. We have the perfect spot in our yard for a salvaged church. Afterward, we indulged in Magnolia Bakery’s famous cupcakes, because... why not? Calories don't count in cold weather because you just shiver them away.
We *need* a restored, old-timey church in our backyard, Sexy Nerd. It will blast our property value cuteness off the charts.
Dog Days and People-Watching
Magnolia Market is also the place for people-watching. Cute pups were everywhere, adding to the cozy, laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect spot to relax, soak in the fall atmosphere, and people-watch with a latte in hand.
Not-so-cute photo salvaged by an adorable baby who's going to grow up to have an excellent sense of style.
Our yard needs more string lights. And shutters?
Thanksgiving-Ready Treats at Magnolia Table
When it was time to eat, we grabbed a spot at Magnolia Table. Their biscuits tasted like Thanksgiving morning—warm, comforting, and perfect. With soft lighting and seasonal decor, it was like being invited into Joanna Gaines’s kitchen.
Major interior design idea! Look how easy it is to add a charming dining space to any wall, inside or out.
Why You Need to Visit Magnolia Market

Between the quirky plant shop, dreamy coffee at Magnolia Press, and adorable old church, it’s the perfect spot for design lovers, foodies, and those just looking to enjoy the season.
Even husbands enjoy visiting Magnolia Market (photo taken before I exhausted Sexy Nerd with home improvement dreams).
You know you want to install brick on the ceiling, Sexy Nerd.
